The national group standard “Quality Evaluation Specification for 3D Curved Surface Laser Processing,” led by Cao Yu—Assistant Director of the Center, Director of the Laser Micro-processing Technology and Equipment Research Institute, and Vice Dean of the Laser and Optoelectronic Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute at Wenzhou University—has been successfully approved. Led by Wenzhou University's Laser and Optoelectronic Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute and jointly drafted with multiple enterprises including Zhejiang Mok Laser Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., this standard provides normative support for quality evaluation after laser processing equipment is used to perform cutting, drilling, surface treatment, and other processes on three-dimensional curved workpieces.

This standard addresses the quality evaluation of laser processing on three-dimensional surfaces, systematically specifying key dimensional requirements. It includes terminology and definitions, evaluation principles, evaluation metrics, test methods, and value assignment rules, thereby providing a clear basis for quality assessment.
For industry enterprises, the standard clarifies methods for evaluating processing quality, providing a basis for companies in R&D, production, and quality inspection. This addresses the current issues of inconsistent evaluation methods and lack of standards within the industry, thereby enhancing product consistency and reliability.
