On the eve of the 5·30 National Science and Technology Workers' Day, Sun Shiyue, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, and Wu Yifeng, Chairman of the District Association for Science and Technology, visited the center to express their condolences to Du Siwei, a national-level talent and the center's chief engineer. They inquired in detail about the progress of his scientific research work and the implementation of living security measures, and listened carefully to the difficulties and needs faced during the talent development process.

   Du Siwei previously worked at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore, serving as a senior research and development scientist in the field of advanced manufacturing and remanufacturing. In 2024, he officially joined the center and currently holds the position of chief engineer. He has long been deeply involved in the fields of laser surface treatment, metal materials, metal corrosion and failure analysis in the oil and gas industry, heat treatment, and metal 3D printing, boasting 20 years of academic and industrial research and development experience in metal materials and advanced manufacturing.

   As an outstanding representative of the center's high-level talents, the introduction and growth of Du Siwei serve as a vivid portrayal of the effectiveness of the center's talent development efforts. The center has always prioritized talent attraction and cultivation, as well as team development, as the core driving force for innovation. It has now established a multi-tiered scientific and technological innovation team led by talents at the national, provincial, and municipal levels. In the 2025 Wenzhou "Ouyue Talent Plan" Category E selection, the center achieved excellent results, successfully selecting one high-level innovation team and awarding 10 Category E talents. The achievements in talent team development are fruitful.
