To connect high-end technologies and talent resources in the international laser industry and fuel the quality upgrading of Wenzhou’s laser intelligent equipment industry, a delegation of senior experts from Russia’s top research institutions paid a visit and held exchanges at the center on the morning of May 26.

The expert delegation boasts strong professional expertise, consisting of many distinguished senior researchers in the industry. The members include: Professor VERESHCHAKA ALEKSEI from the Institute of Design and Technical Informatics, Russian Academy of Sciences; BUSHINSKAIA ANNA, Director of the Science and Engineering Center for Service Life and Reliability of Large Machine Systems under the Russian Academy of Sciences; CHERNYSHIKHIN STANISLAV, Laboratory Director of National University of Science and Technology MISIS, Moscow; Associate Professor MILOVICH FILIPP from the same university; and EREMIN ARTEM, Chief Researcher of Kuban State University, Russia.

Accompanied by Cao Yu, Deputy Director of the center, the delegation toured the exhibition hall and the Concept Verification Center Laboratory. During the visit, Cao Yu elaborated on the center’s positioning, research directions and industrial service system, and highlighted its core technological achievements in laser precision machining and intelligent equipment R&D. The Russian experts spoke highly of the center’s R&D strength rooted in industrial demands and focused on laser intelligent equipment.

At the subsequent symposium, Cao Yu and Du Siwei, Chief Engineer of the center, held in-depth discussions with the Russian experts on three major areas: technology application and commercialization, joint scientific research, as well as academic and talent exchanges. In terms of technology transformation, the two sides exchanged views on technology introduction approaches, intellectual property protection and industrialization models in fields such as laser processing, material science and equipment reliability. For joint R&D, they explored the possibility of establishing a joint laboratory and tackling key technical challenges to advance substantive scientific cooperation. Regarding regular academic and talent cooperation, the two sides reached initial consensus on academic visits, joint research projects and young talent training.
This event marks a key initiative of the center to advance international scientific and technological cooperation and pool global high-end innovation resources. The face-to-face exchanges have yielded clear intentions for technological application and joint R&D, laying a solid foundation for the establishment of joint platforms and regular talent exchanges in the future.
Li Dianlin, General Manager of Wenzhou China-CEE International Innovation Cooperation Center, attended the event.
