To accelerate the in-depth integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation in the laser sector, and consolidate the industrial foundation of Wenzhou's "New Optics Valley", on February 27, Zhao Liqiang, Member of the Party Working Committee of Wenzhou Bay New Area, visited the center for research and investigation. Relevant persons in charge of the District Party Committee Office, District Bureau of Science and Technology, and District Bureau of Emerging Industries participated in the research.
Member Zhao Liqiang visited the center’s exhibition hall and laboratories successively, gained a detailed understanding of the center’s newly adjusted organizational structure and R&D management system, and fully affirmed the phased achievements the center has made in the laser field in recent years.
At the symposium, Member Zhao Liqiang listened to a report on the progress of the center’s development. He stressed that innovation is the primary driving force leading development. The center should base itself on the present and look to the future, so as to improve quality and efficiency and achieve breakthrough development under the new organizational and management system.First, pursue innovative development with full confidence. The center must firmly grasp the main theme of innovative development, focus on tackling key core technologies, break through bottlenecks in critical technologies, continuously enhance the platform’s core competitiveness, and form unique advantages in the laser field.Second, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in a down-to-earth manner. Take achievement transformation as the key to achieving sustainable development of the platform and improving its revenue-generating capacity, and drive more scientific research achievements from the “laboratory” to the “production line”.Third, keep pursuing cutting-edge science and technology.
