On November 7, 2025, under the organization of the Wenzhou Center for International Innovation Cooperation with Central and Eastern Europe, Professor Oleg (recipient of Belarus' “Labor Merit” Medal) and Professor Andrei from the Plasma and Laser Technology Laboratory of Belarusian National Technical University visited the center. They engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge applications and potential collaborations in the field of laser coating preparation technology. Professor Cao Yu, Assistant Director of the center and Director of the Laser Micromachining Institute, warmly received the delegation.

Professor Oleg and his delegation first visited the center's exhibition hall, where they gained a comprehensive understanding of the center's founding background, organizational structure, operational model, and talent team. They expressed strong approval of the center's primary research focus, noting that it aligns with international technological trends while precisely addressing industrial upgrading needs, demonstrating broad developmental prospects.

Subsequently, Professor Oleg and Professor Andrei conducted a thorough inspection of the center's latest research achievements in laser welding, laser cutting, laser cladding, and laser cleaning at the High-Power Laser Processing Technology Laboratory. They expressed high praise for the center's independently developed prototype equipment for new technologies and its innovative breakthroughs in the industrial application of laser technology.

During the symposium, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on technical challenges and potential collaboration directions in the field of high-performance laser surface strengthening. Professor Oleg highlighted his team's research achievements in laser surface strengthening of metals and alloying coating formation technology. Researcher Andrei shared practical experiences in laser metal cleaning and surface modification processes, illustrating key points with case studies.
Professor Cao Yu systematically outlined the Center's technological strengths in high-power laser intelligent manufacturing systems, laser precision manufacturing equipment suites, and R&D of high-performance lasers and optoelectronic devices. He noted that Belarusian National Technical University possesses deep research expertise in laser material modification and plasma technology. Leveraging their respective strengths, both parties could establish long-term cooperation mechanisms in creating international innovation platforms, joint scientific research, and technology commercialization, jointly advancing breakthrough applications of laser technology in critical high-end equipment sectors.
